Electrical Load of your Laundry Shop

It is important that you know if you have enough power to run your machines.

If the place you are renting is a residential type, it is probable that the electrical load is not meant  for business operation.

Here's what you should do:

1. Make a list of electrical equipment, appliances, lights, anything that uses electricity.
2. Take note of the wattage of each item.

Example:
Dryer                       -                 1,000 watt   (  multiply by no. of items)
Washer (top load)     -                1,000
Flourescent Light      -
Flat Iron                   -
Electric Fan              -
Digital Scale             -
TV                           -
Aircon                      -
Exhaust Fan             -

Assuming you got all the overall wattage of your items, divide it by 220V, this should be the amperage or amperes.

Example:

If total wattage is 6,000, this should give you 27 amperes. Now check the rating of your fuse (If using fuse box) Your fuse rating should be higher than what you computed.

If using a circuit breaker, just the same, the rating should be higher.

If your electrical load is not correctly adjusted, there is a big big possibility of bug down when you are at 100% operational capacity (all electric powered units).

So, please check it NOW!!
