Traditional Detergent or HE Detergent

TRADITIONAL DETERGENT
Traditional detergent are designed for the conventional washer or the TOP LOAD. They are formulated for HIGH VOLUME WATER condition. And creates lots of suds.

There is a misconception that a bubbly or sudsy cleans the laundry better. THIS IS A BIG LIE. Remember that a washer will only perform according to its Preset programs. It will not be able to tell if the is no more trace of the detergent in your laundry. 

This kind of powder would require lots of water to rinse it off. You will end up spending a bit more on your water utility bill. It is best that you follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer on how to use their product.

Traditional detergents usually contain chemicals that is harmful to our water system. Phosphate are common cause of EUTROPHICATION. ( there will be a short discussion on this matter).

HIGH EFFICIENCY (H.E.) DETERGENT 

HE detergents are formulated to be low-sudsing and quick-dispersing. This type of detergent requires less water for rinsing. It is designed for LOW VOLUME WATER condition type of washer like the Front Load washer.

PRICING?
HE doesn't come cheap. It is expensive as compared to traditional detergent. However, you still get to save money because it would only require a few scoop of powder per load.


COMPATIBILITY WITH WASHERS
 HE will work for both Front Load and Top Load
Conventional or Traditional detergent will only work for Top Load and not with Front Load

Whatever type of detergent you use, follow the instructions on the detergent package and adjust the detergent amount for conditions that are not typical.
