How to Make Job Order Form

This process of making Job Order is actually the result of your Market Research. This research focuses on who your competitions are. What services they offer and how much is their service fees.

Let us assume that the datas on the left are the info gathered in relation to your competitors services.

Before we start, allow me to define some acronyms:
WDF - Wash Dry Fold
WDP - Wash Dry Press

The available info shows that all your competition are peg at 25php per kilo. Also everyone is charging 50php for WDP. They however vary when it comes to Comforter. Price ranges from 50 - 65 per kilo.

With these facts on hand, you are to base what services you will be  offering and at what rate. It is already a customary practice to offer a lower rate. However, i do not recommend it. I advised that you to practice deligence or faced a never ending lowering of rates among competitors.

Now, let us assume that the data below are the services and rates you will offer to the public.

At a glance, this is how your J.O. would look like:

This is the common type of J.O. used by most laundry shops. However, this form has its flaw. If the customer complains and does not agree with the J.O. form, you could lose a customer.

With the addition of the"Conforme" and "Recieved by". Dispute as to the accuracy of the weight is lessened.
Most shops would stop from here. However, as shop owner you are not protected. What if the customers complains of a missing piece. You have no way of disproving the allegation.

Now this is a much better form. Items are more detailed and well accounted as to weight as well as details per pieces. Would you believe that you are still open to complains. What? ok i will give one classic example. What if the customer complained of a stain in his laundry or there was a tear in the shirts. Again, you will lose a customer if such a dispute is not resolved.

Most of what i discussed here was already considered in our J.O. and filling up of the form is the most tedious task in our system. It protected us from complaints and save our staff from paying any claimed damages on customers laundry, if any, so far we have not paid any our customer due to negligence.

SO FINALLY HERE's OUR J.O. FORM
Take note of the items. Anything unusual about the clothes or anything you think that the customer will put the blame on you, write it in the "Remarks " portion.

When the customer read the remarks. He will probably ask "where's the stain and tear on your remarks?"
Just answer back " sir/mam as part of our service we sewn and removed the stain." end of story.

Hope you learn how to make your own J.O.
